The original "300" started production in 1955 but by the end of the 1960's the name was dropped. 1979 saw the "300" make a brief reapparance but it lasted only for that year. Revival of the name was once again seen in 1999 and it has continued as a "Luxury Car" ever since. Current body style is only available as a 4-door sedan though a "relative" is on sale as the 4-door wagon Dodge Magnum.
